We do many weddings on Maui and have a recent favorite that we can't wait for you to see. When wedding clients, Caitlyn and Joe contacted us and requested a wedding location on the ocean and with a large enough space for wedding, cocktail hour and reception all in one location we knew that we could recommend the perfect location. We have done many weddings at Sugar Beach, one of our favorite venues on South Maui. Caitlyn was amazing to work alongside. She had some specific requests and her energy and love of life made the planning fun. Some specific elements of SURPRISE were of utmost importance. She wanted to fly her little mini-Pomeranian furry best friend in to be the ring bearer. And she also wanted to ensure that her grandparents who were celebrating a big anniversary could also be celebrated during the reception with a dance. Joe's best friend would give a toast that would bring tears to all those who heard of their journey as friends and of his delight in Joe finding his new best friend. On the big day, precious little Tinkerbelle was on her best behavior and she and the little flower girl (niece of the groom) made a surprise entry in a beautiful floral covered wagon together. We couldn't have choreographed their natural reactions any more perfectly. The bride's grandparents stole the show with a lovely dance together that melted all of our hearts. Photographers Jill and Gordon of Meew Meew Studios captured amazing photos, and Dellables Florals added table decor that was above and beyond all expecations. The stunningly decorated reception room was alive with music, dancing, happy tears and laughter. The bride surprised the groom and the guests with a fire knife show after dinner! Kawika of our entertainment company, Manutea Nui E awed everyone watching. Two families came together to celebrate and two hearts were united into one as family and friends celebrated together. This wedding was published in DESTINATION I DO in April, 2018.
